Mission Statement

Holy Redeemer Catholic School is a faith-centered community, dedicated to living the principles of the Catholic Tradition rooted in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our school's environment and curriculum challenge the full potential of each child and embrace a visionary approach toward academic excellence and life-long learning .

Curriculum

A structured sequential curriculum leads our students through a planned process of learning and understanding from early reading proficiency and comfort with numerical systems to the inferential, abstract, deductive and inductive reasoning necessary to become effective problem solvers and life-long learners.  Academic support is provided by classroom teachers and in-school resource specialists.

Academic success within subject areas is evaluated through varied and appropriately authentic methods.  Formal and Informal assessments, individual and small group interactive projects and demonstrations, as well as assessments of written assignments and verbal presentations, are among the evaluative methodologies used to gauge student progress and guide instruction.

Holy Redeemer Catholic School participates in the Atlanta Archdiocese program of standardized testing.  The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (IOWA) is administered at grade levels from first grade through seventh grade. Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is also administered to Students in grades 2,5, and 7.  Students in grade 5 and 8 are assessed in knowledge in our faith through the ACRE instrument. As part of the archdiocesan and private high school admissions process, eighth-grade students take the SSAT test.
